About Client

The Client is an automotive firm involved in the retail, distribution and assembly businesses. It has operations in ten markets across the Asia Pacific region.

Business Scenario

The Client is using Salesforce CRM to manage their various business operations which includes a significant part of Clients Motors business for which they already have their customers data in Salesforce.

They were already running the vehicle lease operations through manual paperwork and were running into significant issues like potential business loss due to slower contract conversion rates, loss of paper trail, redundancy, manual errors and more. Leveraging the existing customer information, the client wanted to build a functionally in their existing Salesforce which can act as a Lease platform for vehicles.

Astrea IT Approach

Astrea IT deployed a team of three resources on the project. The Salesforce Architect set up the system design in discussion with client’s stakeholders on how to go about implementing the leasing platform.

Astrea IT team worked on creating different functionalities as part of Lease management which includes Opportunity, Quotation creation, PDF Generation, Contract creation, Amendment, Extensions and Renewal in the client existing Salesforce instance to implement the bid functionality with following implementations:

  • The Opportunity, Quotation and Quotation Detail flow will be there for the Vehicles.
  • Packages and Pricing information for Quotation details.
  • Contract Amendment, Renewal and Extension process will be there.
  • Quotation PDF, Confirmation PDF and Contact PDF generation.
  • The complete Contract process will be handled inside Salesforce and integrated with GDMS(Vehicle information).

The team made use of Aura components for Salesforce Lightning Look and feel. They build custom screens pages using Aura Components and generate various PDF using Visualforce, they use Flow builder and Validations rules to automate business processes.

Outcome

Astrea IT team built a comprehensive functionality in customer’s existing Salesforce instance to manage Leasing vehicles.
