Business Problem

The Customer is using SAP as an ERP and SALESFORCE for sales. One of the challenges facing the customer team is to automate the sync of data from SAP into Salesforce which includes:

• The data that needs to be sync from SAP was complex as it has multiple data sources which needs to be synced to Salesforce.
• Ensuring the quality and accuracy of sync data.

Solution Overview

The Customer chooses Astrea IT as a reliable provider of Salesforce customization services. Astrea IT team started with creating a two-way integration for different business processes which was necessary to ensure data integrity.

Based on our client's requirement, there are six different business processes that were need to be automated using the integration

• Account
• Sales Order
• Invoice
• Payment
• Stock Detail
• Material

Astrea IT suggested the customer to use TALEND, a powerful data integration tool that enables organizations to connect to various data sources, transform data, and load it into different destinations seamlessly. Talend exposes a POST API endpoint that serves as the gateway for data transfer. The Astrea team also utilizes a tool Ngrok creates a secure tunnel that allows external systems, including Salesforce, to connect to Talend's API.

Once the Talend endpoint is up and running, Salesforce hits the exposed Talend endpoint with various parameters in the form of an HTTP request. Parameters in the HTTP request serve as instructions for Talend, indicating what data(JSON Format for Salesforce) and Object type will be synced.

Outcome

• Automating six business processes and establishing a seamless two-way integration using TALEND which provided great data
• Enhanced data accuracy, reduced manual errors and consistent experience between customer SAP team and Salesforce team.
• Improved client customer satisfaction due operational efficiency between client teams.
