Step 1: Install the Package
- Open your web browser and navigate to the following URL:

Step 2: Install for All Users
- Once logged in, you'll see the package installation screen.
- Select the option to Install for All Users
- Click Install. Wait for the installation to complete.
Step 3: Enable External Credentials Principal Access
- Navigate to Setup by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner.
- In the Quick Find box, type Profiles and select Profiles.
- Select the System Administrator profile.
- Click Edit.
- Scroll down to the Enabled External Credentials Principal Access section.
- Move Visual_Cross_API from the Available list to the Enabled list.
- Click Save.
Step 4: Create a New Account
- Go to the Accounts tab and click New to create a new account.
- Fill in the necessary details, including the Weather Info Date and Shipping City fields.
Step 5: Edit the Account Record Page
- Navigate to an account record page.
- Click on the gear icon and select Edit Page to enter the Lightning App Builder.
Step 6: Add the Weather Historical Component
- In the Lightning App Builder, scroll down to the Custom components section.
- Find weatherInformation component.
- Drag and drop the weatherInformation component onto the desired location on the page layout.
Step 7: Generate and Enter the API Key
- Each user needs to generate their own API key.
- Go to https://www.visualcrossing.com/account and log in or create an account.
- Follow the instructions on the website to generate an API key.
- Once you have your API key, enter it into the weatherInformation component on the Salesforce Account Record Page.
Step 8: Save the Page
- After entering the API key, click the Save button in the top right corner of the Lightning App Builder.
- Click Activation to ensure the page is assigned as the default layout for the appropriate profiles and apps.
Step 9: Retrieve Weather Information
- Navigate back to the account record where you added the Weather Historical component.
- Click on the Get Weather Information button within the component.
- The weather information for the specified date and shipping city will be retrieved and displayed.
