Steps for Using ServiceNow Connect

Step 1: Install the App

Install ServiceNow Connect from AppExchange and complete the standard installation steps.

Step 2: Update Named Credentials

The package includes pre-configured Named Credentials, External Auth Identity Provider & External Credentials. Users only need to update them with their ServiceNow instance details and authenticate the connection.

Step 3: Configure Data Sync Settings

From the Data Sync Settings tab:

  • Select the Master System (Salesforce or ServiceNow)
  • Choose whether to sync all records or sync from a specific date to the current date

  • Select the Salesforce object
  • Choose the sync direction (Inbound, Outbound, or Bidirectional)
  • Select the ServiceNow table
  • Define the External ID
  • Map Salesforce fields to ServiceNow fields

  • Run batch jobs manually from the Data Sync Scheduler
  • Or schedule jobs using the Schedule Batch tab by defining frequency and time

Users can sync a specific record directly from the record page by clicking:

  • Sync Salesforce to ServiceNow, or
  • Sync ServiceNow to Salesforce
