Advanced AI is here and it is here to stay !
The Agentforce 1 Sales license was announced onOctober 25, 2024. The platform as a revamp of the Unlimited Plus edition of the Salesforce platform. This is the latest step taken by Salesforce to allow for more AI participation directly on the platform.
According to Salesforce, Agentforce 1 for Sales typically includes everything from Sales Cloud Unlimited Edition, plus a suite of advanced AI, data, and collaboration capabilities:
- Sales Cloud Essentials (Unlimited Edition base functionality)
- Data Cloud — unified and harmonized data layer for context-rich AI
- Generative AI features — like auto-generated emails, call summaries, and predictive insights
- Enablement tools — tools to ramp up sellers faster, such as personalized seller onboarding and coaching assist.
- Sales Planning & Revenue Intelligence — intelligent forecasting and planning features
- Sales Maps — geographic visualization for prospecting and planning
- Slack + Slack Sales Elevate — integrated workspace for team collaboration within Slack
While tools like ChatGPT and AI in Slack are already present and have widespread utilization, the issue of Data Security and lack of seamless integration prevent them from being fully utilized for CRM data. Salesforce is actively working on integrating AI capabilities in-house and onto the platform itself so as to unlock the benefits that AI can offer, and the culmination of this has resulted in the Agentforce 1 platform!
The main aim behind this update and a rebrand of their premier offering is two-fold.
- Allow for the most advanced AI features to be offered to customers for optimising the sales process and start fully merging AI into core business practices.
- Start offering built-in AI solutions that customers can trust for Data Integrity directly on the platform, as opposed to external tools that may have changing conditions with time when things like Data Security and Privacy are concerned. The Agentforce 1 for Sales is the most comprehensive Sales cloud plan offered by Salesforce that includes everything from all the basic features like Account, Contact, Lead, and Opportunity management to new Advanced AI features like Model Builder and Prompt Builder
Let's take a look at why and what some of the new features are being offered. Full access to the Einstein Studio is provided. This includes the latest AI features, like Prompt Builder (allows Admins to create AI-powered agents using prompts for specific use cases), Co-Pilot Builder, and Model Builder
Let’s take a deeper dive into these features:
- Prompt Builder (GA): This allows us to create customised reusable prompts for specific activities. These can be deployed all across the org using features like Custom Buttons and Flows. - Copilot Builder (Beta): This feature is still present in a beta version; however, it allows us to customize the user-facing Einstein Copilot chatbot. It can be integrated with Apex, Flows, and Mulesoft API’s and functionality specific to business use cases can be built.
- Model Builder (GA): This allows us to select and bring our own LLMs for specific use cases, as opposed to others like ChatGPT. This is a very important stepping stone into the future, where Salesforce believes that, particularly as specific AI models develop and businesses begin to build out their own LLMs.
With this step, Salesforce, as an industry standard CRM platform, aims to move ahead in the progress where AI starts getting fully integrated with business workflows, and makes sure that the most actionable insights are being gathered and worked on to their full effectiveness.
